Robert Simon joined EisnerLubin in 1969 and served as the firm’s managing partner and chairman of the executive committee. Following the merger with WithumSmith+Brown, PC, effective November 1, 2011, Bob is now partner-in-charge of the NY office of WS+B. He specializes in international tax issues and works with individuals, corporations and partnerships seeking advice in complex tax matters. In addition, he performs tax analysis and accounting for trusts and estates and serves as trustee and executor for several clients.

When asked about the role of CPAs in today’s ever-changing business environment, Bob said, “Taxes have become more complicated, despite the government’s efforts to simplify them, and the use of professional advisers has become more of a necessity. I am proud to have been a resource for clients through the years, helping them navigate the tax code.”

Bob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, he is a member of the Executive Committee for the Accountants’ Continuing Education Program and frequently lectures there. Bob has also been an adjunct professor of international taxation at the Baruch College graduate school. He also serves as the firm’s liaison with the Geneva Group International (GGI), a worldwide alliance of leading law, accounting, audit, management, consulting and trust firms.

Bob received his B.S. degree in accounting from Brooklyn College, followed by an M.B.A. degree in taxation from Pace University.

Bob is a proud father of two daughters and a grandfather. He enjoys traveling, hiking and scuba diving. In addition, Bob devotes his weekends to woodworking.
